Why you need to journal and meditate this New Moon.

This month’s new moon is a great opportunity to refocus and set goals. I recommend checking out my meditation and journaling resources and setting yourself up for success in this new cycle of life.

New moons are often thought of as times of change because they mark an end to one cycle and birth another new one. This is why we find it helpful to journal and meditate during a New Moon: to reflect on where we’ve been and how far we’ve come while considering what’s ahead in our journey through life.

We use new moons to start something new, such as a project or business.

New moons are a good time to begin a new project or business. Why? Because it’s the beginning of the month, and sometimes we need the energy of a whole new moon to push us forward.

So if you’re thinking of starting your own business or blog, new moons are actually an ideal time for this kind of thing. If you’re just starting out as a writer or entrepreneur, for example, taking advantage of a new moon will help guide your journey toward success with more clarity and intentionality than ever before.

They are also great for growth and setting goals.

The new moon also serves as a great time for setting goals and starting projects. This is because the energy of the new moon can help you to create anything you want in your life, including goals and plans. When you set your intention at this time each month by writing it down on paper and meditating on it, you are effectively programming yourself to make those things happen in real life.

It’s important to note that there are different types of intentions—some are short-term goals, while others are long-term ones; some relate directly to what is happening in your life right now (such as taking care of yourself by eating healthy food), while others do not (such as becoming an astronaut). Try writing them down so that they can be read again during meditation sessions throughout the month until they become reality!

This is because new moon energy is all about new beginnings—a time of creation and manifestation (and yes, even destruction), but also one that requires us to be fully present in order for it all to happen correctly.

Some good examples include guided meditations (like those offered by apps like Headspace), breathwork like Pranayama breathing techniques or even just sitting quietly with your eyes closed while focusing on your breath going in and out (this is sometimes abbreviated “mindfulness”).

With meditation and journaling, you can keep yourself grounded during this time of change.

In this whirlwind of change, it’s easy to feel a little lost. If you feel like your head is spinning and the world around you changes at the speed of light, meditation and journaling will probably help.

Meditation will keep you grounded in the present moment, so that when things start falling apart around you (which they will), or when life starts improving (also possible), you’ll be able to process all those feelings and get back on track with your goals for yourself. Journaling helps with this by giving us a chance to reflect on our lives and set goals for ourselves. By writing down our thoughts in an organized way, we can process them better than if we were just sitting around stewing over them internally. Plus: who doesn’t love reading over old journals? It makes us feel nostalgic—and sometimes even inspires us toward new things!

  • Help your friends celebrate by inviting them to a special ritual at home or out in nature (if you’re feeling ambitious).
  • Turn your party into a meditation with plenty of soothing music and candles.
  • Host an event that focuses on self-care—and invite everyone to bring something they’d like to connect with during the ceremony!

Above all, journaling and meditation are two of the most powerful tools you can implement in your day-to-day life. They help you connect with yourself and others, provide a much-needed outlet to release emotions, and give you a sense of clarity when things seem chaotic.
