For thousands of years, people all over the world have been practicing meditation. Meditative practices like prayer and contemplation are embedded the traditions of almost every faith and culture, including Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Paganism, Hinduism, Judaism and many more.
Meditation has many benefits for mind, body and spirit, including reducing stress and anxiety, increasing calmness and positivity and promoting clarity and peace of mind. While it may often seem counter-productive, when we allow ourselves to slow down, we give ourselves space for new ideas and perspectives to form.
